Questions and Answers
Q: I have recently gotten a question that asks how I cope with my PTSD.

A: The method that I use is simple yet effective. I try to avoid anything that has a negative feel or is scary such as movies, music etc... I make time to go out and be with family or close friends because this helps get your mind off of things for a little bit, and I try and laugh often. Find things that amuse you such as a funny book, movie, a funny song, or even funny people. But with this im not saying that all my problemes go away, Im just saying that it helps me cope with what I cant control.

Q: I am currently suffering from severe nightmares and im not sleeping well, what should I do?

A: There are many different ways to go about this, one answer is to talk with a therapist or counselor or if you prefer you could visit with a psychiatrist and see what there suggestion is. No matter which one you choose just make sure you choose one, because sleeping problems are a very serious issue and could effect your over all health!

Q: Will the thought of this event ever go away?

A: This question is kind of hard to answer. The thoughts will eventualy get better but not right away, in some cases they get worse before they get better. The main key to many of lifes problems is TIME! I know this is said all the time but it is true. This event has some what changed your whole thinking pattern and will not be fixed right away. But no matter what life throws at you, you have got to bare through it and just give it TIME!

Q: Why me?

A: Bad things happen to good people, but in order to see a good day you have got to go through some bad. The life we lead is always filled with good and bad things a.k.a (Hills and Valleys) And the way I see it is that bad things have got to happen so that people can see that it is bad and try to save somone else from the same fate. Look at it as a calling for good!!
